Termites should be a major worry to home owners; according to State Forestry Research they infest 1 in every 4 homes, and cause structural damage that is costly to repair. Add to this that general home insurance does not cover damage.

Often referred to as white ants, termites are insects that consume wood and wood based products containing cellulose.

The key to avoiding costly repair and treatment bills is to have your property inspected regularly by an accredited technician to detect problems early.

Termites are masters of concealing themselves, do not attempt a DIY.

Termite Management Systems

Termite Inspections

Termite Inspections are recommended every 3-12 months. The frequency is dependent on the individual status of the building.

- Has the property had previous infestations

- Have preventative barriers or pre-construction treatments been installed

- Construction styles need to be considered

- The location of the property

Termite Chemical barriers

Termite chemical barriers stop termites gaining concealed access to your property. It is a replenishable chemical system installed to the soil abutting the perimeter of your home. As termites forage through the soil, they come in contact with the treated zone and are killed. Because a lot of homes have different construction styles not every treatment is the same. Therefore an onsite visit and written proposal explaining treatment options by our professional technicians is recommended.

Termite Baiting and Monitoring Systems

In ground Termite monitoring stations are used where a complete chemical barrier system is impracticable or where chemical applications are an environmental risk. The stations are installed in the ground around the perimeter of the building and monitored every 3- 6 weeks. When activity is present bait is introduced into the stations for termites to consume and replenished as required. With sufficient consumption the colony will be eliminated.
